This imperial stout spent a year hanging out in freshly emptied Wheat Whiskey barrels from Spokane’s Dry Fly Distilling. To complement their wheated whiskey we built a high-wheat imperial stout, built on Washington-grown barley with Cashup wheat malt, then layers of chocolate malt, brown malt, crystal & roasted barley for a complex flavor that melds with the oak, vanilla & whiskey character of the barrels. It’s a rich experience with notes of creamy chocolate ganache & warm vanilla caramel that change as the beer warms.
